Partakers of the Divine Nature

One of the most astounding truths of the New Covenant is that through faith in Christ, we become partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). This profound reality means that the same Spirit who conceived Jesus in Mary's womb, anointed Him for supernatural ministry, and raised Him from the dead now lives inside every believer (Romans 8:11).

Living Naturally Supernatural

This truth is immensely significant because having God's nature and Spirit means that, like Jesus, we can live naturally supernatural lives. By walking in oneness with the Father and being led by the Spirit, we have the potential to manifest the Kingdom of God in any situation through healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. This was not merely Jesus' experience but was intended to be the normal Christian life, as demonstrated in the Book of Acts.

Biblical Examples

For instance, Peter's shadow falling on the sick resulted in mass healings (Acts 5:15). Stephen, full of faith and power, performed great wonders and miracles among the people (Acts 6:8). Similarly, Philip preached Christ in Samaria, and the crowds witnessed the miraculous signs he performed (Acts 8:6).

The Problem of Modern Unbelief

Unfortunately, many believers today see this kind of supernatural lifestyle as reserved for the spiritually elite or as something from a bygone era. They have been deceived into thinking that miracles ceased with the last apostle or are not for today. However, Jesus declared that those who believe in Him would do the same works He did and even greater (John 14:12). The issue is not a lack of available power but a lack of understanding of our identity and inheritance in Christ.

Our Identity in Christ

When we are born again, our spirit is renewed and united with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 Corinthians 6:17). We are transformed from sinners to saints, from weakness to strength, and from poverty to abundance. However, we must renew our minds to align with what God says about us rather than our experiences or the opinions of others. We need to meditate on the truths that in Christ, we are:

- **Righteous and holy** (2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 4:24)
- **Seated with Him in heavenly places** (Ephesians 2:6)
- **More than conquerors** (Romans 8:37)
- **Ambassadors of the Kingdom** (2 Corinthians 5:20)
- **Healed by His stripes** (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24)
- **Blessed with every spiritual blessing** (Ephesians 1:3)

Renewing Our Minds

As we believe and confess these realities, they begin to manifest in our lives. Faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17). The more we hear about who we are and what we have in Christ, the more we will step out and act accordingly. We will start praying for the sick with the expectation that they will recover. We will prophesy and see atmospheres shift. We will take authority over demons and witness them flee.

Cultivating Intimacy with God

Living naturally supernatural is not just about exercising individual gifts and authority but about cultivating intimacy with God and hosting His presence. Jesus said He only did what He saw the Father doing and spoke what He heard the Father saying (John 5:19, 8:28). His secret was abiding in the Father's love (John 15:9). As we develop a friendship with God and learn to hear His voice, we can minister like Jesus did—with laser-sharp accuracy and compassion. Words of knowledge will flow to open people's hearts to the Gospel. Discernment of spirits will identify the root issues holding people captive. The Spirit will give us His wisdom to bring supernatural solutions to impossible situations.

Partnership with the Holy Spirit

Intimacy with God is not just about experiencing emotional highs but about partnering with the Holy Spirit to see His Kingdom purposes established. He wants to brood over us and ignite revival fire in our hearts. He wants to anoint us to preach good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, and set captives free (Isaiah 61:1). He desires to pour out His glory on us until the whole earth is filled with His fame.

Walking in Kingdom Dominion

Walking naturally supernatural should be as normal as breathing for a child of God. Jesus has already paid the full price for us to walk in Kingdom dominion and divine health. The same power that worked in Him is now working in us (Ephesians 1:19-20). Let's awaken to our identity, cultivate intimacy with the Spirit, and give the world a clear sign that our God reigns!
